Basic Principle of Mass Spectrometry

Different ionization techniques are used depending on the sample type (e.g., proteins, gases, or drugs).


2. Mass Analysis


The generated ions are separated according to their mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) using electromagnetic fields inside the mass analyzer.
